Jeff Feeney is a recognized leader in the Puget Sound A/E community. His 50-year career spans a variety of roles from structural engineer, project manager, and partner to developer and business development director. From this experience, Jeff understands how to effectively work and communicate with architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders. At KMB architects, Jeff uses this experience to expertly manage educational projects on behalf of school district clients. He takes an inclusive and collaborative approach to advising throughout each project, where he clearly presents options to clients so an open discussion can lead the team to the best solution.

“I endeavor to always be ahead of the project. When starting a meeting, the client may want to talk about last week. I like to think about the next month. What’s the big problem or the next thing to lead us astray? A good manager finds all the holes and get them filled before you get there.”

As a principal in the firm, Jeff shares his deep technical expertise to mentor staff in the office in addition to advising the partners on practice management. Jeff believes his goal as a mentor is to develop the next leader to fill his place in the firm.

“I feel honored to be in this position. It’s very special. When the partners were considering how to restructure the firm, they created roles for key employees and it was a great move. We’re evolving the position. I can touch all aspects of the firm.”
