Meet the Team | Jeff
“I like to see the excitement in my clients when they see the project fulfilled – when they see it developing and coming to life. As foundations are being poured and we walk the site with the district superintendent and administrators, they can’t see it. But when the gyp board and glass start going in, they get excited and can see it coming together. I show them pictures weekly so they feel involved in the project coming alive.”
For principal and director of education management, Jeff Feeney, it’s the people and variety of work that keep him engaged in the A/E industry. The people make it fun, and Jeff has centered his entire career around honing his skills and relationships working with clients, architects, engineers, and general contractors. No matter the task or challenge at hand, Jeff’s diverse experience in the industry means he knows how to adapt his approach and communication style so his audience understands and can move forward with the project.
Inspired by strong mentors from his past and his family of teachers, Jeff takes his responsibility to mentor the next generation of KMB architects’ leaders seriously. He believes it is his job to develop the necessary and essential skills in his team so they can grow and one day take his place.
“KMB architects has grown the right way. With some of us starting to transition out, I’m watching the way positions are filled -- it’s not just with senior-level people -- they’re building the firm with people who can take over, looking for the next rainmaker. I like the ideas that new people have.”
In his free time, Jeff enjoys reading and sports. Sports have been integral to his life since playing little league, and he enjoys taking in a baseball or football game. Jeff is also an avid golfer. You’ll often find him hitting the links at one of our industry’s many summer golf tournaments.
