Project Description:
This project included a partial renovation of the existing 1987 elementary school and an eight-classroom addition. The existing covered play structure was renovated into a new lunch room and the kitchen was remodeled to meet the expanded needs of the school. A new covered play structure was built and a playground was installed in the play field.
56,000 SF of the existing 56,500 SF school was renovated and 12,500 SF was added in the addition. The addition took existing classroom layouts focused on collaborative learning and expanded upon it Including a shared learning space that connects all the classrooms in the addition.
Security upgrades were made at the front vestibule of the building and all main entrances. Providing needed security upgrades. Upgraded flooring and finishes in hallways throughout the school provide wayfinding for students while extending the life and durability of the building.
