E.J. Deocampo is dedicated to creating a built environment that is suitable for a sustainable and inclusive future. His passion for architecture comes from growing up in the Pacific Northwest, attending college in the Palouse, and traveling abroad. He finds fascination in the differences in landscapes, cityscapes, climate, vernacular, and culture in different places. E.J. enjoys understanding sites through observation, sketching, photographing, and writing. Every site, whether in an urban, suburban, or remote environment, has its history, qualities, and atmosphere. When presented with a site and a design opportunity, designers have the chance to extend, enhance, and potentially heal the intrinsic qualities of that site and its surrounding context. E.J. is a dedicated collaborator who finds passion in site-specific architecture which provides healthy and innovative buildings.

E.J. enjoys volunteering, soccer, drawing, hiking, and photography. These hobbies and activities help him recharge and bring his best work and most collaborative mindset to any project.
