Daniel Shanks

Thoughtful. Inquisitive. Problem Solver.

Associate Daniel Shanks joins KMB architects from the Architectural Engineering Production Program at South Puget Sound Community College. Serving projects with a positive demeanor and an open mind, Daniel is dedicated to learning new skills, supporting colleagues to do their best work, and developing a deeper understanding of the myriad disciplines found within architecture.

“I try to approach my work thoughtfully, and have some understanding of what’s going on before I dive in. I take my time initially until I know where I’m going.”

With a technical background that includes drafting, construction documentation, and computer-aided design, Daniel provides value to team members and clients alike thanks to a thoughtful, analytically-sound approach that proactively anticipates, evaluates, and solves problems. Having focused primarily on tribal work and healthcare facilities early in his career, Daniel—an enthusiastic learner—is eager to expand his horizons into additional architectural services and design practices.
