Alanna Young

Meticulous. Task-oriented. Enthusiastic.

“The thing I love best about architecture is that it’s art with a correct answer. And it’s never the same answer. The correct answer to justice projects is never the answer to education or tribal projects. But we do everything we can to find that correct answer, and when we do we create this beautiful piece of art that is the perfect answer for the client, for ourselves, and for the community. That’s why I love working with the tribes. They are just as passionate as I am about finding the correct answer and the beautiful art that it creates.”

Architectural designer Alanna Young is making a meaningful impact at KMB architects thanks to her command of Revit. She plays an instrumental role in the development and maintenance of our CAD and Revit standards, and she happily shares her deep knowledge of the power of these technologies with her teammates. Meticulous in her record keeping and extremely organized, Alanna is easy to work with and dedicated to delivering complete drawing sets.

“I love working in Revit and explaining how to use the program more effectively because it can do a lot of amazing things when used properly. My favorite project is one where the architect gives me a basic hand drawing, and I draft the whole building from scratch. Watching the 3-D model grow out of the 2-D drawing is the best.”

Alanna enjoys the collaborative culture at KMB architects, where each team member offers up their individual strengths for the benefit of the project as a whole. She is inspired by the passion that her Tribal clients demonstrate and finds it to be an honor to contribute to projects that hold such significance for the tribal community.
