KMB architects wins Top Places to Work Award

KMB is honored to receive the Business Examiner Overall Mid-Sized Employer Award which recognizes the South Sound’s Top Places to Work. We are thrilled to be recognized not just for our service to clients, but service to employees as well!

KMB has received recognition as a Top Place to Work previously but 2017 is the first year that KMB has received the Overall Mid-Sized Employer Award, an award given to employers who exhibit the highest ranking in all five judging categories.

KMB’s guiding principle, “success through teamwork, leadership and commitment” is more than a promise to clients; it’s a promise to our employees as well.

Dedication to community, mentorship, and developing leadership among our younger generation of employees is a distinguishing characteristic of KMB’s culture. As our office continues to grow, we work hard to make our employees feel at home.  One survey respondent said, “KMB is a very professional organization, but the feeling in the office is like home. We all work for the good of the firm and each other.” Another employee added, “We are a family and we celebrate each individual’s success and support one another when we have difficulties.”

As KMB Principal Mark Beardemphl said when accepting the award, “we talk about service to our clients, and service to each other.” KMB Principals understand that a key component of leadership is truly understanding who your employees are. “What are their goals? How do we help them get there, how do we help them be successful? That’s service to each other.”

This culture of affirmation is central to the way KMB operates and continues in its success. It is an incredible honor to have our team recognized.
